Element: Investigate social sustainability issues and practices
  • Identify social sustainability issues that may relate to the work area or work group
  • Identify current and any emerging industry practices to address social sustainability issues
  • Identify legislative and regulatory requirements that relate to social sustainability issues and determine how they apply to the work area or work group
  • Identify voluntary codes and standards that relate to social sustainability issues
  • Collect and read information on systems, procedures and work practices that have social sustainability implications
  • Identify how the organisation’s stated values, strategies and goals relate to social sustainability
  • Determine the relevance of the social sustainability issues and practices to the work area or work group

Assessment Tasks

Copy and paste from the following data to produce each assessment task. Write these in plain English and spell out how, when and where the task is to be carried out, under what conditions, and what resources are needed. Include guidelines about how well the candidate has to perform a task for it to be judged satisfactory.
Copy and paste from the following performance criteria to create an observation checklist for each task. When you have finished writing your assessment tool every one of these must have been addressed, preferably several times in a variety of contexts.
